Moving America for over 100 years.
Since 1914, our focus has been on making quality tires that meet the needs of today’s drivers, because to us, manufacturing a quality product is key to ensuring your peace of mind.
A lot has happened since our humble beginnings.
The Cooper name has a proud and storied heritage that goes back more than 100 years. In 1915, brothers-in-law John F. Schaefer and Claude E. Hart expanded their tire repair business and purchased The Giant Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio, a large-scale tire rebuilding business.
The rise of a trusted company.
The Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is born.
